Effective Date: July 30, 2026
Welcome to TrustedScholars.com (the “Platform”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to the Platform and its editing, proofreading, reviewing, and related support services (collectively, the “Services”). “We,” “our,” and “us” refer to the operators of the Platform, while “user,” “client,” and “you” refer to any person who accesses or uses the Services.
By using the Platform or purchasing Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Platform.
1. Services and Scholars
The Platform provides editing, proofreading, reviewing, feedback, consultation, and related educational support. Services may be delivered by independent contractors referred to as “Scholars.”
Scholars are not employees, partners, or legal representatives of the Platform. We may select or replace a Scholar based on subject knowledge, availability, and the requirements of your request.
2. Scope, communication, and timeframes
Services may include:
- Grammar, spelling, and punctuation corrections
- Clarity, tone, structure, and consistency improvements
- Formatting and citation checks
- Constructive feedback and detailed reviews
- Subject-specific consultation
- Follow-up adjustments within the agreed scope
Communication may take place through the Platform, email, live chat, telephone, WhatsApp, or another approved channel.
Any delivery timeframe is based on the request details available when the Service is confirmed. Changes to the scope, delayed responses, incomplete instructions, or technical issues may affect the schedule. Timeframes are estimates unless expressly confirmed otherwise.
3. Eligibility and user responsibilities
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services independently. A person under 18 may use the Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and lawful request details
- Respond promptly when clarification is required
- Review all feedback before relying on it
- Use the Services in accordance with applicable laws and institutional policies
- Maintain backup copies of all files you provide
- Keep your payment and contact information accurate
You remain responsible for your decisions, submissions, and the final use of any assistance received.
4. Responsible use and intellectual property
The Services are intended to improve clarity, accuracy, presentation, and understanding. You may not use the Platform to facilitate fraud, impersonation, unlawful conduct, or a violation of third-party rights or institutional rules.
You retain ownership of the content you provide. By submitting it, you grant us and the assigned Scholar a limited, non-exclusive license to access, process, and modify it solely to provide the requested Services.
The Platform’s design, branding, text, graphics, processes, and other proprietary content belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit them without prior written permission.
5. Pricing and payments
Prices may depend on the complexity, subject area, amount of assistance required, and requested timeframe. Any applicable fees will be presented before payment.
Full payment may be required before Services begin. Available payment methods may include major credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other displayed options. All charges are processed in U.S. Dollars (USD).
You authorize us and our payment providers to process the applicable charges. Additional assistance or changes outside the original scope may require a separate payment.
6. Refund policy
Refund requests must be submitted to support with the request reference, payment information, and a clear explanation of the issue. We may request additional information before making a decision.
Refunds are evaluated individually and may be considered when:
- The same payment was processed more than once
- A paid request was canceled before assistance began
- We were unable to provide the agreed Service
- The delivered assistance materially differed from the confirmed scope
- Another documented service issue justifies a full or partial refund
Duplicate payments are refundable after verification.
A refund may be denied when:
- The Service was delivered within the agreed scope
- The request is based solely on personal preference
- The user supplied inaccurate or incomplete instructions
- The user changed the requirements after assistance began
- A delay resulted from the user’s failure to respond or provide necessary information
- The user violated these Terms
- The refund request concerns assistance already provided and no material service issue is established
Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method. Bank and payment-provider processing times may vary.
Users should contact support and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue before initiating a chargeback. This provision does not limit any billing-dispute rights available under applicable law.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE PLATFORM AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
We do not guarantee any particular grade, admission decision, professional result, acceptance, or other outcome. We also do not guarantee that every possible error will be identified.
Users remain responsible for reviewing the assistance received and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, institutional policies, professional standards, and third-party requirements.
8. Limitation of liability and indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we, our affiliates, and our Scholars will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, opportunity, revenue, or reputation.
Our total liability arising from a particular request will not exceed the amount paid for that request. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
You agree to indemnify and hold us, our affiliates, and our Scholars harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses resulting from your unlawful use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another party’s rights.
9. Third-party services
The Platform may use third-party providers for payment processing, communication, analytics, file transfer, or other operational functions. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party systems, availability, content, or conduct beyond our reasonable control.
10. Suspension and termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the Services if a user:
- Violates these Terms
- Engages in unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent conduct
- Misuses payment systems
- Threatens the Platform, Scholars, or other users
- Creates legal, security, or operational risks
Termination does not remove payment obligations or other provisions intended to survive termination.
11. Changes, severability, and entire agreement
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our Services, operations, or legal obligations. Updated Terms become effective when posted unless another date is stated. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. These Terms, together with any policies referenced here, constitute the entire agreement concerning your use of the Services and replace prior discussions or understandings relating to that use.
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Before starting litigation or arbitration, either party must provide written notice describing the dispute and allow at least 30 days for an informal resolution. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may pursue available remedies in a court or other forum with proper jurisdiction.
Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights or remedies provided by applicable law.
